I’ll be on at 4:15, race will start no later than 4:30.

Also here’s the current standings for the Trans-Am series. Sorry for not making the post itself but I’m honestly just burnt out this close to the end of the season.

Aight, next series you’re making all the posts and lap times and BoP adjustments.

Spec Country Squire it is then. No BoP, no target lap times, NO MERCY

Also I was just givin ya a hard time bro.

Not as hard of a time as when I’m chasing you in the Stinger, though. On the Green Hell, you will be visited by a Yellow Hell.

Dude I’m kind of digging a spec Country Squire series. That and a reboot of Grand-Am, I tested out a Camaro, Mustang, M3, RX8, Cayman, and 1M and they’re actually really close performance-wise. Will probably test out a few more cars tonight and see how they do as well.

Spec Country Squire:

- All suspension and handling upgrades, including full cage and weight reduction.

- Max width drag tires.

- No engine upgrades, aero, or drivetrain swaps.

It’ll keep the pack together when nobody can turn. :D

Actually with full chassis and tire upgrades the Country Squire handles extremely well. It’s so damn tall you can’t see shit over the top of it but it’s still fun as hell to drive.

Maybe a little bit of a break is in order? Burnout is not fun.

Nah I’ll be fine, if anything it’s just me being lazy since I know the next post-race I’ll need to make will also be the last. I think I’ve found an Excel workaround that will cut way down on the time it takes to make the post-races for next season anyways.

Speaking of which, how’s testing for your series coming? I’ve built and tested out around 10 cars for a Grand-Am series (302, Camaro, M3, etc) and it’s going really well, we should get together sometime after a race and spend a few hours trying out all the ideas we have.

Which one? I’ve had like, several ideas, and I haven’t done much work on any of them. Kinda was busy when I thought them up and I’ve completely forgotten about working on them since then.

The like old-school British sportscar series with Healeys and MG’s and stuff (or was that Corey?). I kind of like the idea of having a vintage racing series paired with a late-model one as the main event.

Ah, yes. The old 50’s roadsters/Le Mans cars.

Well it’s going alright, but I worry about it if it needs to fit into the system we’re working with now. Some of the cars start out at A class already and can’t be dropped, others took just about every upgrade that exists for them and they just barely made it to A550. So adjusting for PI would mean that either some cars would have to be dropped, or people would have to just deal with driving a car they have limited upgrading/downgrading options with. I could also be less strict on the upgrade limits I set to make it as vintage as possible, but that still won’t completely solve the problem.

I haven’t done any testing or changes for several months, like I said earlier. But I think I got some important passive testing done during the season in regards to what happens when a person is driving a car boosted to a speed significantly higher than its competitors. This factors into me deciding if I still want to have the Shelby AC Cobra Ace in the series.

Sounds super fun. If you (or Tohru, or whoever) will buy me the Squire, I think I have a couple codes for the Pennzoil car pack I can give in exchange...

I haven’t done this all year, but it’s hard to pass up the Green Hell. I have the list of cars and upgrade requirements. Other than setting up a car, what else do i have to do, and what time is this at?

First I’ll need your gamertag so I can invite you to the car club; we send invites from the club screen so that’s how you’ll get into the lobby on race day. If you’ve got a tuned car all you need to do is be online around 4pm EST, races usually start around 4:30 depending on what kind of connection problems we have.

Yeah, I think we’re going to tweak some stuff for any of the next series we’re doing. Could just individually specify PI for each car and go from there, as long as the times are even it really shouldn’t matter, right? That’s what I’m thinking of doing for the Grand-Am cars, some are a bit slow compared to the others.

I decided to relax the standards of the roadsters, since with the matching to times trend stuff can go pretty much anywhere. With that, I’m thinking I also might add the BMW 507 to the roster.

Current concept rules:

PI: A550
Almost any upgrades are allowed to bring up PI to meet the posted time. However, engine swaps are still not allowed. Aspiration upgrades are preferred to be a last resort, and try to stick to superchargers first.

Right now the only one I’m having trouble bringing in line with the others is the Cobra. I want soooo bad to have it in the series, but with the minimum upgrades there’s not a lot I can do to it. It’s actually slower overall, believe it or not. So unless anything can be done, I reccomend it for people who tend to need to up their PI. If you are a person to tends to need to lower PI to meet the posted times, I can make an exception so you can remove upgrades. But be aware that the Cobra can only go as low as A503, and you’ll be sacrificing your tuning capabilities.

Required:

Suspension: Full suspension/anti-roll bar upgrades, rollcage
Gears/Drive: at least sport gearbox (or whatever minimum is required to tune final drive ratio)
Tires/Wheels: Try to have at least Sport tires (exception for the Shelby Cobra), no wheel changes allowed
Body/Aero: I really wanted to shoot for vintage aesthetics with this series, so body/aero rules will be strict. No adjustable aero of any type is allowed. Also, if the option exists, you must remove your front/rear bumper. There are also some body changes I will require on some cars (such as the cover and drivers side fin on the C1 Corvette).

There’s a 50/50 chance I’ll be at this race. I have to go to a party but it’s outdoors and they’re calling for rain and lightning. If nothing happens, I’m at the party. If it gonna rain, I’m racing. But even then the power could go out if it storms.

Also, what are we doing for Le Mans this year?

Just a heads-up for everyone: I’m sick right now, but I’m still going to try to race. If I do worse than usual and end up punting you off the track, I will accept full responsibility, but I blame it on the germs. :P

Also, on the subject of new series, I think it would be cool to have one where each race is chosen by one person who upgrades and tunes any car, then uploads the setup to the storefront. Then everyone races in the exact same car, just with different liveries. The cars can be tuned well or made horribly undriveable, and the only rule for the set-up is that the length of the race should be between 35 and 45 minutes.

That or a FWD series.

I have no clue what’s going on with Le Mans, kinda hoping someone else organizes it lol. Could always just be lazy and do Trans-Am cars.

That’s actually a really brilliant idea, only thing is the racing might be a bit unbalanced since the cars are a set PI without BoP adjustments. I’ve been testing out FWD cars and they just honestly suck to drive compared to the RWD cars but I’m open to using them provided someone sets up a series where they’re competititve. We can sort it out later tonight I guess.
